The leadership and members of the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care extend a deeply appreciative and enthusiastic thank you to Magna Dias MD who, since 2017, has been our influential and highly effective President of the Board of Directors. Leading with her warm and inclusive personality, she increased membership by 18%. She led the Executive Committee in bringing our foundling organization out of debt and into financial viability. Through her collaborations with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, SPUC’s Weekly Webinars became a valuable and sought-after benefit for our members. And she achieved all this while changing jobs and moving!
Fortunately for the momentum and continuity of society growth, Magna is not sailing contentedly off into the sunset. Her transition to a three-year term of Immediate Past President includes the task of forming a Nominating Committee and serving as advisor for Board of Directors elections and committee appointments. One of the best resources as a society looks to its future is the experience and expertise of its officers, and Magna is rich with wisdom.
